I have now gotten to 40,000 hands in my 50,000-hand simulation, playing one-on-one with the dealer in a six-deck shoe, using my Casino Verite software. And, from my earlier posts, you see that I am using a stop-loss technique in which I stop after losing five hands in a row or all of my session stake ($300/30 units), whichever comes first.
After 40,000 hands, I am now $1,606 (160 units) ahead. I realize that 40,000 hands do not necessarily prove anything. However, now that I am more than two-thirds of the way through the simulation, the results are getting more meaningful. However, with the losses in the recent series, I am getting concerned about the long-term profitability of my strategy. The stop-loss technique seems to cut down on the disastrous sessions. More importantly, I have made a $1,606 profit with a starting bankroll of $1,500.
