Try out this tongue-twister: A bottle of bottled water held 30 little turtles. It didn't matter that each turtle had to rattle a metal ladle in order to get a little bit of noodles, a total turtle delicacy. The problem was that there were many turtle battles for less than oodles of noodles.
This was taken from the Sunday New York Times op-ed piece from Thomas Friedman in which he was talking about the programs in India to help people lose their Indian accents in favor of more Westernized accents. Needless to say, this is all part of the call-center training going on in India.
This article confirms what I had heard previously: that in the Indian call centers, the personnel are trained to speak the dialects of different parts of the country (and world), so that their customers will be more comfortable.
Very interesting.
