If the shoe fits . . .

Jay

OK . . . I've taken the test and I am a centrist who leans right to the conservative side. That does not surprise me; I have always believed and said as much about myself. I realize that is a label, but I have no problem with that. To quote Popeye "I am what I am".
But a question; why does a conservative accept the label of conservative, but a liberal is offended by the label of liberal?
Wasn't it the liberal aspect of our society that created the "Politically Correct" labels we now use?

Prof Wesley J McBride

I took the test and i got:

LIBERALS usually embrace freedom of choice in personal

matters, but tend to support significant government control of the

economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net"
to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation

of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,

defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action

to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

It's quite an excellent test. I agreed with no national I.D cards but disagreed with the tax reductions.
